Brick Lane (2nd time around)

Sundays on Brick Lane are just wonderful. If I could explain the copious amounts of food and amazing handmade goodies I would but there is just no words. We started off at Spitafields which is a large indoor crafts market. Last time I was there I did not find anythign I wanted and oh Boy did I see stuff I LOVED this time. I just about bought out two different jewelry booths they had such gorgeous stuff. I bought an amethyst and gold ring as well as a handmade stone encrusted cuff from Afghanistan! I also bought a little poster, a scarf and a maxi dress. I would have bought more but I ran out of cash :( tear, tear.

Then, on we went to Brick Lane, which is only a block from where Spitafields is. Brick Lane is known for it's Indian food, I'm sure I wrote about my adventures there previously, but this time I got Chinese food! There were so many people on the street all eating their food on the curbside it was just like once giant party. Once we got food at the Sunday Market we walked along the lane and I got my so desired Pina Colada in A PINEAPPLE! It was delicious and Daddy, Yes, we can go here when you come on the 28th and get you one too!!

I love shopping the markets, it makes me feel right at home. I love walking the streets and people watching. The style on Brick Lane is absolutely fabulous. Everyone is so vintage and does their own thing. The Bars and the nightlife here are supposed to be rocking but I have yet to come at night. There are so many vintage shops on the lane it is impossible to hit them all but I almost did yesterday. I think I was just so deprived from being pent up sick in bed for four days that I just went nuts and wanted to buy everything I saw. I restrained my self though, no fear.

So yes, it was a lovely day on Brick Lane and I won't be there for a little bit since all my Sundays are booked except for the first and last in August so until then I will say see you later Brick Lane!

[as for all the pictures of trash on the street, well I took them at the end of a very busy day on Brick lane market day so clean up isn't always so pretty. I do love the idea of walking around London and seeing several coconuts lying around on the street, ah, coconuts!]
