Palms and baklva

Post one on Crete.

Nothing is in order, and you will probably see me in the same outfit a lot.
I had a wonderful time in Greece, the weather was gorgeous and the sea sparkling.
We did so much in the short amount of time that we were there and I felt like I really got to explore Iraklion [where I was staying].

I will post more pictures and talk more about my adventures in Crete later but I am off to see a British comedy show!

Jetting.

Ah, the life of an adventurous.
I will be flying to the Island of Crete today for 5 days so this blog will not be updated.
Check back next Wednesday for a LARGE post on Greece!

Picture: Me in the Design Museum in London, trying out the new SPUN chair. When upright it looks like a sculpture piece but once sat in, it is a chair and when you lean on it it spins all the way around. Quite the chair for someone who loves amusement park rides. And, no matter how you spin it or how fast you circle around, you never fall and it never topples over! Next Birthday present? I think so.

Lots of Love.

proof.

Just got my underwater camera developed. Here is proof of all my underwater adventures. It was just so gorgeous. I truly believed I've witnessed pure beauty.

The picture in the kayak was after a score in water polo!

and yes, that is me jumping off the cliff!

BBC PROMS

Time for some culture. I attended the BBC Proms on Tuesday night. Yes, I did have a Modern Design test the next day as well as a 2000 word paper and British Culture test due on Thursday, but I like to think everything always gets done, and well, it did, and well.

It was wonderful to go and get some culture and hear some beautiful orchestra music.

After the show I went out to dessert with my friend Emily and we studied Modern Design over cappuccinos, creme brulee and Banofee pie. I think that stress has to be thrown away when it comes to tests and papers, there is no need to stress, just enjoy life...and that is what I did.

FINALS WEEK IS OVER

A perfect weekend

The tales of my Wales Adventure Weekend: [Preseli Adventures in Pembrokeshire]

With the sun shining on the Welsh ocean, I bopped up and down in the water like a seal. Helmet and wetsuit to aid me in my adventure I swam in the ocean, got pushed against rocks in the caves by the waves, climbed the cliffs and joyously jumped off of them. In other words, I went coasteering. This 2-hour experience was probably one of the best moments of my life. I felt completely free in the middle of the ocean, exploring the dark caverns and caves and letting the waves crash upon me. I also happen to love adrenaline rushes so jumping off the cliffs into the water below was quite fun.

We returned back to our eco-lodge for a filling lunch and tea and biscuits as well and then suited up again in different wetsuits and gear for sea kayaking. I have kayaked many times before so it was a nice little time. We even got to play water polo in our sea kayaks! I never knew I was so competitive, I almost knocked a few girls off of their kayaks.

After our day out at sea we returned back to the lodge, took hot showers and went down to a home cooked dinner. Delicious. Then we just sat around by the fire and played games all night long. The perfect end to the perfect day.

The next morning I woke up to a beautiful breakfast and then went on a 7 mile hike along the coastal cliffs of Wales. I walked high along the cliffs with the ocean views below me. I'm not sure If I have ever seen such beautiful views in my life before. most of my pictures above are from my hike but even the pictures don't do the landscape justice. It was just magnificent. The cliffs and ocean on one side of me and then rolling fields and hills with cows and sheep grazing on the other side.

The hike was the last part of my adventure weekend and we returned to lunch and then went to pack up our suitcases for the 6 hour train ride back. I met many wonderful friends on this adventure and had the most marvelous time adventuring and stripping away all my material goods to just live simply for a weekend in the countryside of Wales!

I highly recommend everyone to take a little venture over to Wales and do a Preseli adventure! The guides were so great and it really was one of the best times of my life.

Tea Time

TEA TIME.

Now, don't be too jealous of my lovely afternoon tea.
A few of us girls had planned this tea for a long time and it was finally our day to go to the Bearkley Hotel in Kightsbridge and have this most wonderful Pret-a-portea. All of the pastries were inspired by Spring 2011 fashion show designs.

My tea menu started with Pear Caramel tea which was absolutely delicious.
Then a plateful of tea sandwiches, salmon and butter, egg salad, tuna with olives and capers, spicy chicken and cucumber and cream cheese. They were quite yummy.

Then we ate the savory bites at the bottom of the tier. There was a sliced beef in soy, an apple potato and chutney bite, artichoke and quinoia and a lobster bite.

Then the desserts...
My favorite was the Jil Sander: a mint mousse and coconut cream with a fondant mustache.
I also loved the Tory Burch. It was a little strawberry cream pastry.
Marc Jacobs wasn't too shabby either. That is the little pastry shown above with the chocolate bow.

We ate in the Caramel room at the Bearkley and the decor was lovely, our tabletop was amethyst and the china was stunning.

We all had a wonderful time at tea and I recommend this place to anyone!
